Figarc relies on Figma‘s concepts and best practices. The more you know Figma, the less you need to learn Figarc. If you are a Figma expert, you‘ll be right at home.

Figarc is for fun and education. Therefore, you shouldn‘t use it for sketching professional structures. But it can surely help you create a floor plan of your home or office that you can later give to your architect and make them proud of you.

The right answer is… both. Initially Figarc was built upon the metric system, but later on an imperial measurement system was included as a grid. See the relevant changelog for that.

While a Figarc plugin is on the roadmap that will include such a feature, for now you can use Matthaeus‘s Figma plugin for that.

Updates that include product enhancements are free. Should Figarc release a totally new and improved version, the update may incur costs.

Yes, you can. Even though the recommended way to use Figarc is to import it as an external library, you can still use the library with local components. In that case, just open a new page in Figma to design your structures.. However, be mindful of your RAM and CPU; sometimes designing inside the library can take a toll on your hardware's vitals.
